Report: Russian loss on fall of trade with China at 1 bln rbl/day

MOSCOW, Feb 20 (PRIME) -- Russia loses about 1 billion rubles a day due to the decline of trade with China because of the coronavirus epidemic, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told channel RBC in an interview broadcast on Thursday.

“I have recently held a conversation with the Federal Tax Service: losses from the decline of trade turnover with China stand at a billion rubles a day. The fallout of the coronavirus,” Siluanov said.

The minister said that the Russian economy is unlikely to be hurt much by the coronavirus and can still reach a 1.9% growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) depending on the length of quarantine.
